Opus 4.8/high changed everything for me 🤝

not gonna lie the low, medium, high, max effort is a nice touch

Hi Ruben, this is great. I enjoyed and learnt from every line and words you wrote. Super grateful.

Ruben Hassid's avatar

this is nice to know, Emmanuel :) how did setting up your Claude go?

Emmanuel Akpan's avatar

Was ok. No issues.

Ruben Hassid's avatar

that's nice to know

Ruben! Great article, and I'm answering this comment the same way that you are practising excellent content. Go ahead, carry on. I'll follow and support!

Ruben Hassid's avatar

when i said Wispr Flow changed my work life i really meant it :) i literally have stopped typing dms, comments, prompts

I love how you simplify things. Brilliant 👌🏾

Ruben Hassid's avatar

its really simple you could do it too!!

Great article, as always Ruben! However there is one missing step: "Setup your project(s) in Claude Cowork".

Ruben Hassid's avatar

i actually have a focused guide about it (https://ruben.substack.com/p/claude-cowork-project), but i wrote it in March. its not up to date :)

I have made a webinar 2 months ago about vibe-coding www and it is already outdated :D

Ruben Hassid's avatar

did you use Claude Code?

Paweł Jurewicz's avatar

Yes, for about month (thanks to you BTW), but most of my Vibe-coding I still do in my Cursor. I just prefer that a bit more technical approach, where I see all files and file structure. However I've found that my customers absolutely prefer to keep themselves as far away as it possible from Cursor :D

It’s rare to find someone as experienced as you are in a subject who has the patience to break it down to the most basic level.

That is the character of a true teacher & servant leader.

Great Job!

Ruben Hassid's avatar

i have spent years teaching myself AI with zero technical background. the whole point was to figure out if a non-technical person could do this, and then show others exactly how :)

Data Frank's avatar

The interesting part isn't that AI is simple.

It's that most people think better prompts create better results, when better questions often do more work than better answers.

Ruben Hassid's avatar

Claude asking you questions before starting a task produces better output than you writing a 500-word prompt

Data Frank's avatar

Yes clarifying intent through questions usually improves outcomes more than overly detailed instructions. It reduces assumptions and tightens direction.

Excellent Ruben straightforward and compelling

Ruben Hassid's avatar

thanks, Doug! any preference for future newsletters?

Great! Only the people who really thoroughly understand a subject, can describe it in such simplicity. I’m going to forward this to some people I know that are going to benefit from this. Thanks!

Ruben Hassid's avatar

send it to them, and if they have questions, i would like to hear them :)

The guide the world needs 😃

Ruben Hassid's avatar

thanks!! what level are you on now?

Nizam Sabirin's avatar

I asked claude to ask me stuff before crafting the prompt just by pure accident..now i m creating prompts and skills like i ve using claude for 10 years…

Ruben Hassid's avatar

when you know what you want, Claude does the rest

did you use AskUserQuestion? :)

Yvonne Whittaker's avatar

Thank you Ruben! I mistakenly thought I had set up an account on Claude, but actually hadn't. So after reading your article I actually set it up and have been busy improving web copy. Awesome and thanks for not being patronising with it too.

Ruben Hassid's avatar

that’s awesome, do let me know how it goes :)

El's avatar

This is EXACTLY the type of post that I, and probably many people need: real step by step instructions. You read and apply. So simple! Thank you so much for this and keep up the good work

Ruben Hassid's avatar

glad you found it useful, more coming!!

Thank you for this. I’m just about 60 years old and new to everything and this helps me out tremendously. I’m still trying to figure out GitHub/Discord. I’ve been using ChatGPT to walk me through setting up things for amateur radio (building electronics/nodes/etc) I don’t know the first thing about coding or even where you put coding but and was wondering if I should change over to Claude? I’ve read a lot of material about how to go into Claude. Click a few things and then put it into ChatGPT and then it will give you something to move back over to Claude move everything in the Claude. What do you recommend?? Claude or ChatGPT

Ruben Hassid's avatar

Claude Code is magic - it took me 8 minutes to have a fully functional website.

i have a guide about it but its outdated, wrote it last March. it might help you set up your Github and Claude account: https://ruben.substack.com/p/claude-code

Randy G Wheeler's avatar

I have a GitHub account. Should I sign up for a paid account on Claude because right now I have the app on my iphone and it’s free. I have a feeling I should be doing all this from computer?

Ruben Hassid's avatar

yes, you need at least a Pro plan and the Claude desktop app

AI is simple. Having an original thought to put into it is the hard part.

Most people just use these tools to speed up the same robotic, hyper-optimized noise.

Just analyzed this exact optimization burnout

Ruben Hassid's avatar

i see people every day running the same average ideas through AI at 10x speed. they have automated mediocrity
