Ermegherd. Thank you for doing all the work for us, Ruben!

I've started posting about the importance of language and the words you use when prompting because 1) too many people think AI is a technology tool (it's a language tool) and 2) people don't realize how their verbs can sometimes affect the outcome (e.g. Combine vs Merge in images, Simplify vs Explain Like I'm 5 with text).

Context has never been a problem for me in using AI but organizing how I request it has (ADHD w/Executive Function deficits FTW!) so I really appreciate this formula and template!

It's all about words.

But it's rarely about being verbose, rather giving enough context and precise directions to get the right result.

Whoa. I never heard the term Context Engineering until this. Great piece man 👏🔥

However, I noticed from some of the things you talked about, that I had been practicing context engineering since I started using AI in 2023.

Most of my prompts are more of context into the ‘why’ of what I want ChatGPT to do… so it's really detailed. But from what you shared, I think I could use better practice of context engineering. Thanks for always sharing valuable stuff.

P.S. I really love the image (thumbnail) for this post. Did you design it or use AI to generate it?

Then you’ve been doing it right since the start!

The thumbnail is made by Midjourney :) I should make a guide one day.

Useful piece, thanks Ruben. Just a grammar note, we'd not say 'How success will look', it's 'What success will look like' Many non-native speakers say 'how it looks like' or similar, I think it's a direct translation from other latin based languages. It would also make your 4W model make sense as it would be who, why, what and what. Genuinely trying to be helpful here.

Yep, sorry I'm French 😊

Thanks for the comment.

No worries, It's SUPER common across Spanish, French, Italian, German, etc. Speakers. It makes sense with it being 4Ws :)

Love your blog and have been using several of your techniques. I prefer written info to videos- but that's just me- I expect a video series could do well.

One would go with another.

Like either just text.

Or text + video!

hi there, i hope you're well ... a video explainer would be fabulous but if done well to easily impart the content contained in the video _ some people have the gift to explain the works easily and others just eff it up with bad explanations, choose your lane wisely ✊🏽 and proceed brilliantly
